Should be in the discharge line also known as high side, near an opening where the lines are put together either near the condenser which is near the radiator or near the evaporator which is on the passnger side of the vehicle under the hood near the firewall.

I need to know where the orifice tube expansion valve is located on a 2004 chevy venture and any other filter that I need to change on the AC system

the expansion valve (TX valve) is located at the inlet side of the evaporator
. the receiver/drier has to be replaced when the system has been opened
did you install the correct compressor for the type of gas in use
are you charging the system through the correct port using the correct gauge
From what you say is going on , you need the services of an accredited ac specialist shop soon before you blow too much more money

Orifice tube location on a 2002 chrysler 300m

2002 Chrysler 300 has an expansion valve instead of an orifice tube which is used to meter the flow of refridgerant. It is located on the firewall attached to the AC manifold hose assembly 4e13a00d-e237-447d-9c7e-ef4684c71d0b.jpg 452a74e8-1d11-479f-9e19-3d118dc43633.jpg

#10 is expansion valve and #3 is the hose assembly..follow AC hoses from compressor to the firewall and it will take you to the expansion valve

Replace ac expansion valve

t isn't necessary to remove the wiper or the false bulkhead cover. the valve is accessible in the engine compartment with simply removing the air collector and air box. These instructions had me baffled because all i was exposed to when i removed the wiper system was the cabin fan. The valve is located on the passenger side directly under the power steering rack. its hard to see right off, so if you have a hard time
finding it, locate the large and small medal pipes and follow them to the firewall and you'll see the valve. After finding it, it took about 30 mins
to replace.

Where is the expansion valve located on the 2004 KIA Sedona

Kia Sedona expansion FRONT valve located under dash, behind glove box, fan and coil. Evacuate freon first. Disconnect Freon lines from firewall., Lay right front seat back to flat horizontal position and lay on top or totally remove the seat for easier working access. Remove under dash cover, fan, glove box, coil housing, remove coil mounting bolts, remove old expansion valve. (Inspect old valve, if debris inside, blow out coil before installing new valve. If visible debris best to consider replacing REAR expansion valve and DRIER/FILTER in front of radiator too and blow out all lines and coils while servicing.) Use compressor oil to lubricate "O" rings on new FRONT or REAR expansion valve, install valve bolts, reinstall coil bolts to FRONT firewall or REAR frame, reconnect freon lines to firewall in engine compartment. Evacuate AC system, install freon (35 1/2 ounces, nominal 3 pounds), check system for leaks, check for proper operation, enjoy.
