SOURCE: freon leak in line lincoln continental 97

use 134A and you can put it in your self.. Just pay attention Only instal freon in the low side of your system.. low side is always the larger hose ... Got that ? larger .. small hose is high side is not not the place to put it in .. Find your largest air conditioner hose and follow it out till you find a port to put in freon .. which you can buy it and the hose at a walmart store..they do make a sealant also that will sometimes slow the loss of freon.. let me know if you need more.. jerry

I have a 1997 Lincoln continental. When I turn on the a/c I can hear the compresser kick in but it goes right back off and the whole time the ac is running it keeps trying to kick in but keep cutting off. I...

It will be in the yellow section if the compressor isn't running. Go ahead and hook up the gauge. When the compressor kicks on the pressure should drop to below 15 and then the compressor should kick off. Is it doing this? If yes go ahead and add freon. The yellow section means the pressure is high but you only have to worry about it if the gauge reads in the yellow with the compressor kicked on.
