Question about 2002 Mercury Mountaineer
Fuel filters are normally on the under side of the chassis. It is a cylindrical tube, about 6" long,3-4" diameter. Some are toward the left side, some toward the right.Different makes, different locations. My Ford is on the right while looking at the car from behind so maybe yours is too?Anyhow, now you know what you are looking for.The line in and out have a nut on each to remove.I am not sure if you are required to depressurize the system to remove or not if that is what you are looking to do.You may want to ask a shop about that.Good luck! Greg
