Question about 2005 Jeep Liberty
The A/C units are now considered "standard" on vehicles and it is so unusual to have one without that there are no routing options.
There are A/C elimination pulley/bracket assemblies available that take the place of the compressor, allowing proper routing with the same # belt. One company that offers them is Dorman.
I'm not certain that they make one for yours but if not, you can use a compressor that does not work, providing that the clutch is good on it and you don't plug the clutch wire in. Only other option is to actually make your own idler pulley and bracket.
