Question about 2004 Chrysler Sebring

I seem to be having a problem with the rear driver's side window. When I lower the top and then attempt to close the window it goes up to about 1/2 inch of actually closing completely. What is the best solution....

Regulator is going bad, to get it to close you can push up on the window and have someone push the window button up, this should allow the window to close. You can also pull the door panel off and look at the regulator and cable sometimes you can adjust the cable. There are usually four to five screw and then the door panel pops off. The arm rest and door handle have these screws but then can also be on the outside panel sometimes. Hope this helped tim

Open the drivers side door and see if you can peel back the covering on the wires going into the door. Sometimes from opening and closing the door so much 1 or more of the wires break or rub bear and contact each other or something else. Check if all the wires are good.

Convertible top won't close

If you look int he holes where the latch goes into, you'll see a little switch. This is not telling the car that the top is closed. You could try to "gently" pry the little arm up, or move the switch a bit (don't force it). You'll most likely find the right position for it, and it will close. Also check the pin for the motor arm. Face the trunk, open, you'll see the top boot. Peel back the weather strip in the top right of the trunk opening, and that will allow the boot to be peeled down. You'll immediately see a golden colored rod with some joints. There is a pin that falls out occasionally, that needs to be tapped back in, or replaced. If the pin is still in the rod, remember the orientation. The pin is tapered. This part is often overlooked, and causes a lot of expenses for troubleshooting.

Hi I have the same problem on my 1999 Carrea, I had the windows at the rear stuck down and the roof latch keeps open and closing, I have not solved this yet it could be a relay but it all started when I was opening and closing on the keypad, if you get the roof up and cant get the rear windows to close get the roof closed to a locking position and where the hood lock pulls back at the roof lock station slide a thin s crew driver up the side of the lock hook they close then, also a tip, if you stick your little finger in the hole where the hood lock goes and press both the rear window buttons up they close when the roof is down. if anyone knows why my hood wont lock please let me know

Clk top will not go back up seems dead..all fuses checked

It is normal for the roll bar to rise when top is down. It seems like the rear valance cover is not secured and the soft op does not understand what position it is in. There is a way to manually close top. it is stated in your owners manual. also I would try to close top with button(assuming your vehicle will start and the battery has good voltage) start car and try to operate top down and try pushing on rear cover also make sure the retractable cover in trunk is extended to compress operation switch
