Question about 1993 Buick Park Avenue
Get the fuel pressure checked. If the fuel pressure is low then the problem is related to faulty fuel pump and clogged fuel filter.
Check your fuel flow also, Your fuel filter might be clogging up. Also make sure your getting spark at all spark plugs. If not getting then the spark plugs needs to be checked.
Also sounds like a vacuum leak to me.Check the vacuum lines and the vacuum hoses and its connections.Check out if the car idles fine then its not vacuum leak. Then the problem is related to faulty accelerator pump.If all checked ok then the problem is with the MAF sensor.
The mass air flow sensor is faulty.
The mass airflow sensor measures the air going into the engine, and the ECM uses that signal to decide what to do with the fuel, timing, etc.
If that sensor is coated with dust, which they tend to do, the signal is inaccurate, or at least slow.Locate the air filter box and air tube. It is on the driver's side just behind the headlight assembly. The MAF sensor is located in the center of the air tube which is connected to itself in sections by band clamps. Thanks.
