I'am rebuilding a 700r from a chevy silverado 1985 with the 305. I need to full schematic and diagrams . Can you help me find them pls

Check out faxonautoliterature.com. They list 2 different manuals that will help. If you are just doing minor repairs and a tune up on your transmission then the Motor manual should do the trick. If you are planning on doing a complete overhaul then you need the GM service manual. It will give you everything you need to know and how to do it so you end up with a working transmission. Hope this helps.

How much to buy a new transmission and engine??

You do not say which engine trans you have or are wanting. The 3.1 or 3.4 crate engine new will cost about $1,886.00. The 700r transmission will cost about $1499.00. Then the 350 crate engine will cost about $1695.00 up. Plus shipping.

Is a 1986 chevy 400 transmission tale shaft the same as a 1986 chevy 700 transmission

If you mean length, not necessarily. You'll have to measure from where the tail shaft bolts to the main transmission case. If you mean the T400 driveshaft sliding into the 700R4, then it shouldn't be a problem. Hope this helps.

Exchange tail shafts on chevy 700r transmission .need to swap out tail shafts so i will have the same distance for drive shaft

In order to change the length of the shaft coming out of the rear of the transmission you would have to disassemble the transmission and install the correct length output shaft.
