I cant get the car to start the starter is working, i have changed the sparkplugs, and it is gitting fule. plug wires look good still, but havent changed them yet.

Hmmm.. looks like ignition prolem!

If ur 1986 323 has contact point and condenser in ur distributor, check that and replace if possible!
If u have an electronic ignition, the fault will be the ignition module!
Check if there is any SPARK coming out from ur SPARK PLUGS and CABLE!
tell me more!

My car (Mazda 323 2000cc Diesel) will not start.

ck you bat but youll probably find its your glow plugs.these are set in the head and usualy have a wire going to them.check with ohm meter.one termenal to the plug where the wire attaches the other to ground. there sould be no resistance for they are basicly a direct short to create heat that warms the air for initial start up.replace any that dont make contact with ground

My mazda 323 suddenly stopped while cruising a street. the battery is good, there is gas in the carburetor and fuel filter. starter is good but i cannot re-start the engine.

Check oil for coolant X oil cross mix

Check cylinder compression

Check cap for a line of carbon (crack)/worn contacts

check rotor for work contact

Check loose screw on point/or module (bad ground)

Do a good look over for loose/ hanging/out of place items

Engine will not start

could be your distributor contact point. if you do not have contact point, then the electronic part that replaces your contact point. some called it the electronic ignite r.

you should concentrate on the spark. you can check the presence of 12 volts in your coil while starting.

the primary windings of the coil are the one in the clips or screws. check be sure that you have positive 12 v on one wire and pulsating negative from the other terminal. the negative pulses are coming from the contact point.

tnx 4 using fixya,
