Look behind the kick plate on the passenger side. There should be a fuel pump safety switch there. You probably have to press that reset and the truck will start again.

I have a 1998 Monte Carlos. I had to slam on the brakes and.now the ABS light and brake lights are on. What could it be. They were fine before I had to slam on my brakes to avoid a car in front if me.

You have a brake fluid pump on board that over rides high pressure to keep the wheels from locking up by openning a bypass valve. If you can lock up the wheels by hitting the brakes hard the valve is stuck :( very costly. If they dont lock its electrical if they do you just wont have ABS. This is something that was passed on to me so i drove without ABS car stopped fine.

1993 Oldsmobile Bravada braking is causing the engine to stutter and sometimes shut off. Brakes are also hard to engage, engine is idling oddly, it has begun to shut off when turning the wheels when...

hard brake pedal and the engine is idling rough usually indicates the power brake booster has gone bad. the booster has vacuum going to it from the engine so if the diaphragm in the booster starts leaking then it affects engine performance.

Knocking noise at the rear of car only notice when 60mph or more

this is usually due to rear strut mounts coming undone. the rear strut mounts will come lose or brake if you slammed on your brakes really hard or hit a really bad bump or had a joker tow truck driver tow you out. the strut mounts are cheap but the labor is where they will get you. it will cost you between 200-300 dollars

Replacing rear brakes can't get the drum off

This has worked for me a few times. Put the wheel back on the vehicle and finger tighten the lug nuts. lower the vehicle and slowly drive forward for about three feet and slam on the brakes, do the same in reverse. Jack the vehicle up and remove the lug nuts and wheel. Hit the drum with a rubber mallet and try to remove the drum. If it still will not come off WD40 the treads and repeat above. This usually has work the first try for me without any damage to the drum.
