If this is coolant it will have a green or yellowish/orange color and feel oily to the touch, then the heater core is likely leaking, if clear it is water condensation from the AC evaporator core and is normal draiage

Coolant leaking somewhere unknown, have to add to reservoir every 3 days or so, strong antifreeze smell with a/c on. water sloshing sound in passenger side dashboard. bad heater core?

sound like a bad heater core! the heater core is like a small radiator that is usually locaded in the dashboard on the passenger side. now if the leaking is really bad you are going to see water dripping by the front passenger tire or if it gets really bad it may leak inside the car. in order to fix this problem the HEATER CORE must be replaced. good luck

Water leaks under dashboard on passenger side in my 2000 nissan maxima

If it is antifreeze, your heater core is leaking and will have to be bypassed until you can have it fixed. Bypassing requires removing the two coolant hoses that go into the firewall on the passengerside, and making these two hoses connect by use of a pipe and clamps.
If it is just water, either your drain tube for the ac is plugged, or you have a water leak when it rains, usually from the air vent into the heater box-requires dissembly to get to it, probably a piece of rubber molding that has come loose.

I seem to have some kind of water leak that is coming in and getting the passenger side floor extremely wet. It seems to come from under the carpet. Any ideas what it may be and how serious is it to fix? ...

This is likely a leaky heater core. This is a small radiator under the dash which sole purpose is too allow hot coolant to enter and have air blow over to direct hot air into the car. When the core begins to leaks, it goes down under the carpet on the passenger side. If a mechanic cannot be afforded, try an additive I have used several times called "Liquid Glass". Follow the instructions and it should seal the leak permanantly. The heater is usually a very expensive repair because it is under the dash board and difficult to get to depending on the vehicle. If this is not repaired you may continue to loose coolant and cause an overheat also causing severe engine damage. The sealant runs about $20. Let me know if you need anything else.

Condensation water from a/c leaking all over interior floor board on my 1999 c1500

I'm sure it's from the heater core. The water still go through it, You might get a wire hanger and stick up the drain hose on passengerside firewall,This get's stoped up sometimes and back's up to your floorboard. If this don't work your going to have to replace your hearer core, This cost around $25 but have to take the bottom dash out to replace. Best of luck to you. l

2002 Mitsubishi Lancer leaking water under glove box and a noise in that same area becoming more noticeable. Air conditioning unit?

Typically, when you have water leaking from underneath your glove box, that means that your heater core is leaking. Your heater core is basically a small radiator located inside your car, just behind your glove box, thjat a fan blows through for the purpose of warming the interior of your car and defrosting the inside of your windshield. This core is fed water via your engines water pump, from your engine where the water is heated, through the heater core and back through the radiator located under the hood of your car and through the engine once again, in a continual cycle. What happens after time, the heater core is of a much thinner construction than your radiator and will corrode through in a much lesser time. The other things which commonly occurs in the heater cores today, is that when your car overheats or blows a head gasket, it will allow the exhaust gas from your engine into your water system and create a tremendous amount of pressure. The heater core is not designed to deal with this extra pressure and typical blows out and leaks water onto the floor board of the passenger side of the vehicle. Heater cores are not all that expensive a part, but to replace it, can be quite difficult on some make and model cars. This information applies to most all make and model cars both previously and currently produced.

Sounds like the vent control motor is bad. It controls how much hot water flows through the heater core. OR the heater core for that side is clogged

It sounds like either the heater valve which may be located inline with a 5/8" hose or 3/4" hose or the heater core is leaking, a heater core is like a small radiator.
