How to clean a sugered tank on a Pontiac Sunfire year 2001.

Hi Delwin, There's only one way to clean a fuel tank and that's to pull it out and pull the fuel pump out of the tank as well because you're going to have to flush both the tank and pump, Also when you've finished installing the tank unhook the fuel line from injectors and turn your ignition on for a minute or two to flush the fuel line, Then replace fuel filter and connect the fuel line back up to injectors........ CHEERS..

2005 dodge diesel wont start but will start with starting fluid

the system is not properly sealed and is allowing the fuel to return to the tank, and then it is too hard for your fuel distributor to pull it back towards the engine. when you start it with start spray you are making the pump spin faster and then it can manage to pull the fuel from the tank. a quick fix is to install a one way valve in your fuel supply line before it goes into the filter to stop the fuel from returning to the tank.

How do i get fuel line off gas tank on 1998 gmc seria

These lines slide on and off, theres a clip inside the connector that locks it on, theres a tool used to slide into connector end to release clips, slide tool in and hold hold in connector and then pull line out, twist and pull, the line may be a little hard to remove so while holding the tool in the connector twist and pull line out.heres a picture of the top of the tank where the lines go on to the fuel module and also the tool i speak of, this set does fuel lines and other lines i put arrows on the fuel line ones, this kit is $9.00, hope this helps.johnjohn2_84.jpgjohnjohn2_85.jpg

I have a 1995 Mazda MPV,V6,4x4,I think the fuel is not working

Don't drop the gas tank. Pull back the carpet in front of the rear seat and there will be a square cover closer to behind the passenger seat with 4 screws holding it down. Remove that cover and it will expose your fuel sending unit cover. This will be circular in shape with 6 or 8 small philips head screws holding it in place. Unfortunately they will probably be very rusty and hard to get out. You will first need to disconnect the electrical plug and the 2 fuel lines. After removal of the fuel lines and the screws carefully remove unit to expose fuel pump.

How to change a fuel filter on a 2002 dodge ram 1500 4.7

This is the year that dodge decided to put the fuel filter in the gas tank instead of inline on the railing. Just either empty the gas tank or make sure that there is hardly and left in it considering it will be heavy. Pull the necessary lines off top of tank and hoses and than take the nuts that hold your straps on the tank off. Remove tank and pull fuel filter.

How hard is it to change the sender in the gas tank?

It's not really hard, but it can be potentially dangerous. Especially if you don't have a jack to lower the fuel tank. Each tank also has a slightly different locking ring for the sender as well. They're usually not that hard to get apart, but there's potential for sparks and explosions. It's always much easier if you have a nearly empty fuel tank, but keep in mind the fumes are flammable. Usually there are two straps that hold a tank in place. Remove the straps, lower the tank part way, disconnect fuel lines and wires, then lower all the way. Slide the tank out from under the vehicle. Unscrew the locking rings, remove the sender. Make sure the area is clean first, you don't want any dirt getting into the tank. Pull the sending unit out and replace the faulty part. Reinstall exactly as you removed it.
