Yes, but make sure it's the battery first. Will the car jump and run on it's own? If not, your alternator has failed, and the battery may be fine.
To replace battery, make sure you buy the right size for your car. Loosen the terminals with the appropriate socket wrench and remove terminals from battery. Loosen battery hold down clamp. Remove battery (take back to store for core refund).
Reverse steps to install new battery.

My best guess without being able to see the car is that the battery hard wiring is faulty.

You need to check both the condition, routing and security of the battery negative and positive leads.
You also need to check the security and condition of any additional earth leads which connect the engine to the chassis/body.

My 1999 Lexus ES300 wouldn't start this morning. There's no sound when trying to turn over...no clicking are anything. When I listen under the hood there's a slight click in the alternator

Hi Susie, Turn on the head lights and get someone to observe them while trying to start. If they dim during trying to start, replace the battery. Regards John

Does the engine crank at all?
Did you replace the battery because it wouldn't start?
It could be the alternator

Starter issues with 98 Ford Windstar (3.8)

one problem that the 98 winstars ( 3,8L ) are prone to is the transmission range sensor. they are badly located and not well sealed. As a result corosion...
The starter solenoid wire ( red/ light blue ) runs throught the range sensor before reaching the ignition switch.
Try shifting back and forth between Park and L1 rapedly at least 5, 6 times and then try starting in Neutral.
If it starts the TRS is easy to replace and accesible.
( The TRS is also responsible for the transmission going into irradical kick down mode )
