Recently my car started leaking gas and I found out that the filler sleeve needs replaced. This part is nearly impossible to find for the ZX2 model. Does anyone know where I could find one?

Ford dealer or else repair the old one. Perhaps a large gas-proof hose would work.

Have replaced 2 solenoids near engine, is there a 3rd underneath car?

There is a vent solenoid under the vehicle near the gas tank on the evaporator canister or charcoal canister An your replaced one near the engine you didn't need to. Only 1 on or near engine ( purge solenoid ) But there is also the possability the gas cap leaks , the fuel filler neck is rusted somewhere , or one of the hoses as a pin hole . You could replace all the solenoids an still have the code come back. The best way to trouble shoot these type problems is hook up a smoke machine an smoke the system . Your best bet would be to take your vehicle to a qualified repair shop. I mean unless you like spending money needlessly .
DTC P0442 Evaporative Emission (EVAP) System Small Leak Detected. To aid in locating intermittent leaks, use the J 41413 EVAP Pressure and Purge Station to pressurize the EVAP system. Move all EVAP components while testing with the J 41416 Ultrasonic Leak Detector.

GAS ODOR IN A 2005 PONTIAC SUNFIRE

could be corroded gas lines or gas tank, the carbon cannister or leaking injectors and or if you have a tendancy to fill your tank more at the gas pump to the rim of the filler cap the filler neck that connects to the gas tank by means of a rubber seal may be ruptured. check for gas leaks under the car and in the engine bay, first with the car running and then with the car,s engine shut down and around the filler neck.it could be as simple as having to replace your gas cap. good luck.

A friend had a shade tree mechanic replace the fuel pump...Now the gas filler tube leak's when filling the tank.......I am a desil mec,I noticed that the tube is not all the way in.. how do i find a...

The filler tube is separate from the tank. They are joined with a rubber sleeve. Most likely it is not pushed on fully causing your leak. If you can loosen the hose clamps & twist the hose on better

THINK I HAVE A LEAK ON THE INTAKE MAIFOLD GASKET OF 2002 ZX2. NEED INFO ON CHECKING FOR SURE AND HOW TO REPAIR OR REPLACE GASKET. THANKS

Use a gas cylinder (MAPP or propane) around the area you suspect a leak while the engine is running. If the engine pulls the gas in through a leak, the idle will go up. It is most likely your issue is with the PCV elbow on the intake manni. It is on the bottom of the manni facing the block. This is a very common leak point and is nearly impossible to see and is often mistaken for a manni leak.

Smell of gas while driving

If you smell gas while driving, check for leaks first.
Look under the chassis near the gas filler neck. Check under the hood for raw gas odor around the engine. If your hoses are not leaking, your car may need a tuneup. It could be burning too rich.
