If the engine still spins make sure you have all wheel on the ground and brakes are applied it works best if its also in a high gear .

How to install balance drive gear on crankshaft 2007 Camry 2.4

Remove old crankshaft pulley ( Harmonic Balancer), by putting sturdy socket, think its 19mm, or 3/4 " on the center crankshaft bolt, with a good size breaker bar, wedge the breaker bar in between the suspension, and drive axle, to keep the breaker bar from spinning, while, you now turn the key inside the car, to engage starter, to spin the crankshaft, which may take several attempts, of turning the key, and putting socket back on, they are very stubborn,to break the center bolt loose,
Then remove harmonic balancer, with a PULLER, which requires 2 bolts, in the threaded holes, one on each side of the now empty center bolt hole, autozone , advance, has these to loan out, only requires deposit, which they give back to you, when you return it.
Put square key in slot on bare crankshaft, slide harmonic balancer,(crankshaft pulley, while lining up the square key,and tighten crankshaft bolt.

Csnt get serpentine belt off I'm trying to change out air comprssor I loosing up the tention bolt but now what

There are two bolts if it is like the older model, you have to loosen the bolt on the front of the pulley and then the tension bolt. If you don't loosen the bolt on the front of the pulley the pulley can't move when you turn the adjuster bolt.

How do i put on a timing belt on for a 1988 honda civic? and i need to know how to take the crank shaft pulley bolt off? r the best way to do it?

Honda crankshaft bolts are always extremely tight. You will need an impact gun to get it off. You may want to take the car to a local shop and just have them remove the crank bolt for you and then hand tighten it with a ratchet wrench so you can get the car home to do the rest of the work. You can get at the bolt through the wheel well with the impact gun and a 17mm deep socket, it doesn't take much effort, it's just that the shop may not want to help as they're not getting the job. A box of doughnuts or beer may help here.

How to take off crankshaft pulley on 2001 chevy metro. When I turn center bolt the pulley turns. Is there any other bolts that need to be removed? How do i remove this pulley?

if you have a standard transmission, put it in a high gear and set the parking brake.
If you have an automatic, you might have to remove the starter and lock the starter gear with a screwdriver or vicegrip. Make sense? Also, you may need a puller to get the vibration damper off the crankshaft.

I need to know how to take the belt tensinor pully asembly

The old one will come off easy enough, a reg serpentine belt on the outside of the engine, the tensioner is tightened up by a bolt, You need to loosen the bolt at the front of the pulley, then spin the tension off the belt from another bolt usually on top or from the bottom,, do the same in reverse to put it all back. If there is no bolt to move the pulley, look for a square hole in the bracket near the pulley, take a half inch drive breaker bar, and push either way to get it to move.Do the same to tighten it back up.

I need the drive belt configuration for a 1988 Jeep Cherokee.

To replace belt, first loosen the pivot and slide bolt on the steering pump, then use the jack bolt below the pump to move it. Belt goes (ccw) around outside of ps pump, under idler pulley, over a/c compressorover alternator over fan pulley, over crank pulley over water pump and back to the ps pump. best bottom (grooved area) should match with any pulley with grooves, back of belt should contact smooth pulleys. 9example...grooved part contacts ps pulley, smooth back goes under idler pulley) When finished the water pump should spin ccw (I've seen them put on incorrectly so it turns backwards) Tighten jack bolt till the long strech of belt is giving about 1" deflection, then lock pivot and slide bolts down.

I have a 99 mitsubishi diamante and i broke the power steering belt how do i put it back on

Looking at the front of the engine you should see, from left to right, the PS pump, a tensioner pulley, and the crank pulley.

Loosen the 14mm fixing bolt and the 14mm fixing nut on the tensioner pulley.
On the bottom there is a 14mm adjuster bolt, loosen it to slide the pulley downward. It helps to have a swivel socket to access this bolt.
The belt goes around the outside of all 3 pulleys.

The alternator belt will need to be loosened to get the PS belt on behind it.
Between the Crankshaft pulley and the ac compressor pulley you will see another adjuster. Simply loosen the 14mm nut on the center of the pulley, then loosen the 14mm adjuster bolt sticking out the bottom to slacken the belt enough to slip it off.

Use the same adjusters to tension the belts once installed, and tighten down all fixing nuts/fixing bolts.

Be advised: If you broke your PS belt, you should verify your pump and tensioner pulley are in good shape and spin freely, and were not the cause of belt failure before putting on a new belt!
