Hi, the same fuse controls both dash and tail lights, so you have to consult the owners manual to find out the location of the fuse.

But if the fuse is in perfect condition like in some other cases..

Check the wiring plug on or near the light switch for a poor connection or short in wiring. Some times the spade connectors in the connecting plug are pushed back because they have not ben secured in the plug properly. Check this by gently pushing then pulling each wire in the connector.

I have a jeep liberty 2005 2 wheel drive my passenger side driving light will not come on. Also instrument panel lights will not come on either.

first off ,you did electric work and skipped step 1
pull battery neg lug first.
so you blew the fuses.
what IP lights. all warning lamps.
or just the park lamps in the cluster.
part is called Illumination in said cluster.

where is these other lights, what is a driving light, (park, head, turn, what? brakes?)
tell all lights that work & not , inside and outside car.
tell what knob you turn. can be like 10x better clue...?????
burned sockets are shorted lamps, the brass base lamps love to short inside, (china made x10) get new ones from top maker....

ok, so after replacing the TL assy.
what dont work now, report all lamps.
if it's only outside lamps failing, say so..
i guess you dont know that parking lamps go to like 20+ places, inside and outside car. so. parking lamps are special if acting up
then brake lamps
then blinkers (turn signals)
then reverse.

if the parks (aka, incorrectly TAIL) are bad, then we need to know that. using the correct word.
parks are on all 4 counters, and side lights and inside car.
that is why tail lamp , is a bad name. but fuses are marked as tail on many cars.

also when working on car external lighting
make sure no trailer towing hacks are found.
look for non OEM hack jobs, at the rear corners. Uhual hacks.
or past collision damage to wiring not repaired properly.

how is that>?

Instrument panel lights dont come on when the headlights are turned on. and no tail lights

These circuits are usually tied together. The loss of the instrument panel lights lets you know that you have problems with tail lights. Check your fuse panel for a blown fuse in this circuit. Best of luck,

2006 chevy impala rear tail light...

there is a connector that plugs into the light that should be looked at. is there any water leaks anywhere. there were problems with water leaks on some malibu models around the tail lights. pell open the inside covers and get to the tail light to inspect for this. also check those bulbs just in case they did go bad. any condensation in the light? not sure if the Impala has a single fuse for both tail light or one for each but you should check fuse box under dash and under the hood. good luck

I HAVE AN 02 IMPALA AND MY INSTRUMENT LIGHTS AND TAIL LIGHTS DONT WORK WHEN I TURN ON THE HEAD LIGHTS

Check the fuse box and look for a blown fuse. If the fuse keeps blowing, then there might be a bad wire somewhere or the brake light sockets may be corroded. That can cause problems an cause fuses to pop. Hopefully, it's just a blown fuse and and not too bad of a problem.

Tail lights and instrument panel lights dont work

The Dash and Tail lights connect to the same fuse in most cars. if the fuse is okay, check to make sure the tail lights and/or dash lights are properly grounded. all bulbs could be blown...but highly unlikely.
