Question about 2003 Suzuki Grand Vitara

1 Answer

I have a 2003 Suzuki Grand Vitara 4WD vehicle and the power steering line is leaking. Does anyone know if the line can be replaced by me or do I have to take it to a dealer. I am having problems finding the part online and also finding the leak in the line.

This is a dealer only part, the fittings require special tools to remove, so this job is best left to a shop u trust or the local dealer.

this part time 4WD? option>?
are you on ICE, snow, dirt or pavement.
part time is not for pavement free of ice, you know that?

only AWD works on non iced pavement.

2005 suzuki 2.0 td jeep i have a whining noise coming from engine

Check your power steering fluid level. The power steering pump will whine when the fluid is low. If this has been going on for some time the pump may be damaged.

If I were you ,I would remove the plentum and make sure the injectors are not leaking onto the intake manifold and creating a pocket of fuel, witch could cause a engine fire while driving.

I have a 2002 1.6 Suzuki Grand Vitara which jumps out of 4 wheel drive on occasion, is this a common fault and is it an easy fix? Also I need to locate the ERG valve. Thanks Wildpunto

My 1999 GV has the same problem. From my initial research, it seems that a common problem is a faulty air pump or a leak in the air line or actuator that engages the 4wd. This vehicle uses a pressure line instead of a vacuum line to engage the 4wd. I just got my GV back from my mechanic about 30 minutes ago and it seems like my air pump is dying (mounted inside the front bumper). Now I just have to find a replacement. ( I live about 90 miles from the nearest dealer.)

1999 suzuki grand vitara has power steering leak from metal line under the radiator that feeds directly into the rack and pinion. What is the name of this part and where can I find it?

That is the power steering cooler/pressure line. You can either replace it with another steel of same diameter or call the dealer and order it from them. But it could get pricey.
