Sounds like a loose connection on the battery. Clean and tighten them, and check the battery ground. Is the starter cable on tight? If still nothing, a shop needs to check the ignition switch for a defect.

My Jeep Grand will not start. Installed new batt. When you try to start everything goes dead, then gauges will jummp, recircilation light comes on and in time radio & inside lights will work.

The battery cables arent tight enough, and or the battery is not properly fastened down.

From what you described. It sounds like the battery is dead. Please tell me that you checked the battery already. And anything else that you have check would help. We need more clues.

Turn key to start and nothing

Not if you left your headlights on all night and completely drained the battery. if it is dead, try to jump it, if you get some sort of power with the jumpers attached, go buy a new battery.

If everything is turning on, and there's power... check for 12V at the alternator. it may be out now.... or a connector came loose, or wire broke.
