You put tranny fluid in the place you take out tranny stick to check tranny fluid level. You need a funnel. The power steering is the same. take off the cap and it has lines to tell you if it needs fluid. Add power steering fluid there.

Leaking either trans or power steer fluid. 1 or 2 drops per day under left front area

it sounds like power sterring, check level of fluid, inspect around pulley, if it is wet or oily looking, the seal is going bad, you can put some power sterring stop leak in it, it will buy you some time until you can change the pump

It has power steering. Why does it steer so hard?

Do you hear noises while turning the wheel at low speeds or stationary? If you hear a whining noise check the power steering fluid level. A low fluid level would make a whining noise as well as cause stiff steering. If you hear a squealing noise check the power steering belt tension. A slipping belt would cause stiff steering also. If you hear no abnormal noises check to make sure the power steering belt is there. If all of the above check out ok you may have a bad power steering pump, steering gear or a blockage in a pressure line.

2006 330i Need to add power steering fluid, but can't identify which is power steering resevoir.

This is wrong!!!! This will destroy your car. The power sterring fluid say ATF only, putting power sterring in it will destroy the steering.

Where do i put power steering fluid in an mx5 - mark one. the sterring feels heavy. I'm not sure where to top it up or with what.

Next to your front left light you will find a small plastic filling rod like an oil check rod but totally black. You just have to unscrew it slightly and you can check the Low or Full (L and F indicators) level of your PSO.

Coming to what to put in it. Mk1's accept both ATF oil (Automatic Transmission Fluid - Red colour) and Power steering Fluid (PSF - Green colour). Mixing them is also no specific issue but not recommended.

Please check the hose under the recipient you fill in as it can often be cracked after winter periods.

Cheers

I cant find where to put the steering fluid at ?

The power steering pump/reservoir is down below the pass. side of the engine, right up against the firewall. Will have to reach down between firewall and 2 heater hoses to get to the cap.-

TRANSMISSION & POWER STERRING FLUID LEAKAGE

The power steering has two systems a hi pressure and a low pressure, open the hood, fine the power steering compressor , the belt makes the compressor work so once You located the compressor follow the hoses that are attached to the back, follow each at the time, to the steering box, under, front left, and inspect them, also look at the compressor, or the reservoir, TRANSMISSION, 1 look between the motor and the transmission, if Main front seal,2 follow hoses that go to radiator, 3 look for the transmission sump gasket (pan with many bolts all around)4 Rear or axe ls seals
