You have a short somewhere other than alternator. You would need to take a terminal off the battery to prevent discharge. All car circuits need to be tested to find short. You may be able to troubleshoot by pulling fuses out one at a time at watching for a small spark when you put back in. Any fuse that has a spark is using the battery. Some of them should, but most should not, especially suspect any circuit that has a big spark.

Have a 2009 Saab 9.7x4,2i starter good alternater good but battery dies over night

Usual culprit is boot (Trunk) light. If not, try disconnecting battery and if a spark jumps as you take the lead off it shows there is a power drain. If no power drain it points to a faulty battery.

Something is draining my battery overnight. I have taken out alternater and had it checked out. Auto parts says alter, and battery are good.

How much time goes by to affect the battery? Cars today have many auto-light features but start with obvious things like the trunk light or under hood light that might not be going out. To find out the size of the drain disconnect the battery cable and connect an ammeter between the battery post and the terminal. Large drain big thing small number light bulb.

My alternater and battery test good on my 01 kia spectra. But, After putting the fully charged battery in my car, it slowlky died in on ly a few blocks drive?

Connect an ammeter in series with the battery positive terminal and battery positive lead. With ALL systems off, including alarm, door lights etc and with doors closed you should have a reading of only 0.03 amps.I'm guessing that yours is higher as it sounds like you have a parasitic voltage drain. If indeed it is higher, then disconnect any alarm system first and check your amps again. Every time you disconnect something, go back and check your amps.Once you get your amp drain back to normal, then you have managed to disconnect the system responsible for the high current drain.
The most likely candidates are always the alarm system, then stereo, then GPS tracker. After that you will have to start pulling more fuses, one by one and letting the vehicle rest for a few minutes after each thing is disconnected before taking a reading.
BTW, if it is the alarm which is drawing a high amp drain, then it is more often than not the alarm siren back up battery which has failed.
Good luck.

Replaced starter, alternater and battery car still drains battery. whats wrong?

First you can not test an alternator by disconnecting the battery cable. That is what we did back when cars had generators. Today you can fry the computer and alternator running the engine with the battery cable off.
Meanwhile, I would look for a fuseable link or main fuse problem. The alternator circuit may not be connected to the fuse box and battery.

Sounds like the starter is probably fried, and draining the battery. I assume the battery is good? If you aren't sure, try disconnecting the battery for the night, and see if it goes dead

1999 toyota battery keeps going down with new alternater this makes 2 alternaters and batteries

The most likely cause if you have changed batteries and replaced the alternator is that you have something that is an electrical drw when the car is shut off.

I assume the battery goes down while the car is sitting?

If it goes down when you are driving, it is likely a different problem.

If you don't have a multimeter to check for current draw when everything is shut off, an easy test to remove the negative battery cable and let it set the time it takes to discharge.

Then hook it back up and see if you have a full battery. If it doesn't go down with the batteryt cable disconnected, you either have a short somewhere or there is something left on (like a glove compartment or trunk light) that is draining the battery.

I assume you checked for the obvious things like brake lights staying on when the car is shut off (brake light switch problem).

My car

to truly eliminate the alternator you have to disconnect from the wires over night to see if battery is still drained good chance that alternator is the cause.you also can put a test light in between the battery and the ground cable (negative)as you disconnect the alternator you should see a difference in the test light. the bulb will dim down if alternator is draining the power.

Brand new battery, wants to turn over but keeps losing its charge, the break lights only turn off if you lift the pedal after u use it, alternater belt squeaks a little. wat could cause this when the...

Well, if the alternator belt squeaks a little, it cannot be actually charging properly, resolve that...

First steps would be to fully charge the battery and measure the voltage. Turn of vehicle Disconnect the negative terminal overnight, for a night or two.

If battery still dead, focus on the battery.
If battery is not dead, put a volt meter between the negative terminal and cable and measure voltage... do not be mislead by interior lights, or clock, pull those fuses, during testing...

Anyways, keep going until you find a drain.

The alternator has diodes that can cause a drain...disconnect for testing purposes...

NEVER run the vehicle with the battery cable dicsonnected.
