think about taking it to an accredited radiator shop and have the system pressure tested to look for leaks

Water pump

The most common source of a coolant leak on any engine is by far the water pumps front seal. If you get under the engine you should be able to see the white stains from the dried coolant leading towards the water pump, you can also touch under the front of the water pump and see if it is wet with coolant. 1993 Geo Tracker leaking water from upper middle of engine. Do you think it might be a head gasket?

I would check hoses and water pump. When water pump goes bad it leaks water out hole out of bottom.Get pressure pump and pump up system it makes it easier to find leak.

I have a leak in the water pump housing gasket

Do you have a leak at the water pump cover? The water pump? Or the 4 gaskets that seal the water crossover (that the water pump is in) to the cylinder heads?

Water leak. I dont think its the water pump but the leak is really close to the water pump

could be a hose but most likely its leaking water out of the weep hole in the bottom of the pump housing

I think engine coolant is leaking from the water pump. how do I know if its the pump or the seal

Technically, the 'pump' will not leak. A seal will leak and a gasket will leak. When someone says their water punp is leaking, they are really referring to a water pump seal or gasket or the hose that attaches to it.

You can use certain products to seal this type leak if it is small. However, it is only delaying the inevitable - you will eventually have to replace the pump. Find "Stop Leak" at fine auto parts stores in your community.
