Question about 2000 Lincoln Town Car
A classy lady, try pulling the hood lever a little harder . sometimes they stick. If that don't work get someone to hit the center of the hood while you or someone else pulls hood lever.

It may be frozen/stretched out or broken, try having someone tap the hood at the latch while someone holds the handle if it comes up make sure you lubricate and or adjust the latch while its up and/or replace the cable

Try getting another person to push down above the bonnet latch as you pull the lever.They may have to push it down a few times,A sudden quick push may do it.Hope this helps

Get the hook!! Some cars have a release on them, but you will never know unless the hood is up. You could find a car exactly like yours and peek at it. Or, get a little hook, bent stiff wire, get in there behind the grille and start fishing, you can grab the release and pop it open, it might take a while, but it beats a hole in the grille. I made a little hook out of 1/8 inch wire, 2" ,90 degree bend with a hook on the end and it can get in behind there and pull the catch. A coat hanger will work. Try it. Hope it helps.
