Question about 2004 Pontiac Grand Am
Noise associated with friction of the brake pedal to the stem of the mountings. Over aperiod of time there can be dirt or rust accumulating to tighten the pedal and make this noise.
Also the noise can come from the link to the mastter cylinder, the noise in the master cylinder.
You must check this movement with your hand to confirm the source of noise .If on the pedal bushes, use a degreasing spray like WD40, remove the pedal oil/grease and set back.
