Question about Audi A4

1 Answer

Mums 1997 A4 has a banging noise under the rear right hand side which we think may be the runners for the petrol line? There is also pressure build up in the petrol tank which makes the car idle badly, however once released idling improves. Can anyone help us with what the banging may be and how it can be fixed?

If this is a European car then the fuel system is a return to tank type, the vent is actually in the filler cap.try replacing same.
the banging could also be the exhaust hanger(rubber)missing or flexing onto the underbody.

1997 Toyota 4 runner. Cranks up w no problem but gotta rev slightly , but has a loud noise under hood. Stick shows oil is ok but oil light is on. Between 30-40 mph it's runs fine w no noise. I've been told...

First of all you have to determine if you really have low oil pressure with a real gauge. If the oil pressure is zero you may have a bad oil pump, but if the pressure is low your engine may be just worn out and the oil cannot build up pressure because the clearances are too loose.

Location of starter motor on 1997 audi a4

It depends which engine you have.
On V6's it is on the right hand side at the bottom rear of the engine.
You will need to remove the alternator and possibly the right hand engine mount to give yourself enough room to remove it.
Removal of the alternator requires the radiator support to be in the service position.

A whinning noise out the back think its is a transfer case

Transfer case is under your feet not in the rear. There is however a rear differential that can whine. Also could be a wheel bearing there is one on each side of the rear axle. You need to jack the car up and rotate the wheels by hand looking for leaking fluid or noise.

Banging noise from rear of bmw 316 e36

It could be your subframe as well big problem with E36's. Also you can check your Rear Shock Mounts in the trunk by removing the carpet, they are under the speakers. Also check your brake pads, the little shim could have fallen off causing your brake pad to rattle over bumps. And check all your heat shields.
