Question about 1995 Nissan Sentra

1 Answer

1995 Nissan Sentra, have spark, fuel, turns over, won't start, when I disconnect the fuel line at the filter it starts but dies after fuel used up, I reconnect the line, turns over but won't start. Any ideas? How much compression should my motor have and what is the minimum for it to still start>

The problem is not the engine compression. It is with the fuel supply.Replace the filter first and then the fuel pump.

Do a compression test maybe you lost the timing belt or open up the valve cover and see if your cam is rotating.

2003 nissan sentra se-r spec v heard a pop now wont stay started

Sounds like a fuel supply problem. The fact that it does momentarily start, indicates its not an electrical issue. However, no steady fuel supply to the injectors and it won't run for more than a second or tow. Your problem is in the fuel delivery system most likely. Either the pump, or (if the unit is located in the fuel tank) the fuel filter may have ruptured. That would sent all the fuel back to the fuel tank not to the injectors.

My 2003 Nissan Sentra died while I was driving on the freeway. I was able to start it but it died again the following day and it will start anymore. I was reading the forum and suggest that it's the fuel...

disconnect the fuel line at the fuel filter or the fuel rail which ever is easier to get too, then try to start the car if it sprays fuel it is not the pump if it does not then you know it is the pump.

Nissan B13 sentra isn't starting.

All engines need 3 components: fuel, spark, and oxygen.
You'll need to check all 3 of these. start by checking your spark plugs to see if they aren't gapped or melted. Then check to make sure that fuel is reaching the engine. make sure that the fuel filter isn't clogged.
If you have the tools, run a vacuum pressure test on the lines.

1997 nissan sentra keeps dying

Check distributor and fuel, when car dies check for what is missing when it won't start back up. It can be only gas or spark and trust me one is missing. Good Luck
