Turn the key to the "on" position and press the button (the one under the steering column near your left knee). Then hold the button in until the light flashes 3 times. This resets the system. It's described in the owners manual if you have one.

First, check the tire pressure of the spare. If all tires are properly inflated, then one of the sensors are bad and must be replaced.

CHECK TIRE PRESSURE SHOULD BE 33 PSI. ONCE YOU CHECK ADD CORRECT TIRE AIR PRESSURE. DRIVE CAR AT 20 MILES PER HOUR FOR 2 MINUTES. THE LOW TIRE PRESSURE LIGHT WILL TURN IT SELF OFF AND RESET ITSELF.

We have checked the all four tires for pressure and even checked the spare tire for pressure. Light still stays on and yes we have tried holding the button down to turn off the light. please help!

You have a defective or lazy sensor in one of the tires. You can try letting out as much air as possible in each tire, then refill each tire, checking the pressure with a gauge of course. This may reset the TPM (tire pressure monitor sensor)

Recurring low pressure light and no clear issue

Note that the spare tire pressure is also monitored. If all of the ires (including the spare) are at the proper inflation pressure, and the light remains on, you may have a non-responsive tire pressure sensor; if so, that needs to be checked by a Toyota Dealer.

Check the spare tire...The spare tire is also checked by the tire pressure warning system. Once the spare is inflated to the proper pressure, the light will go out.
