Side marker bulb on 97 miata

The process is straightforward; remove the 2 mounting screws and pull the marker assembly out. The lamp itself is socketed in a turn-and-lock assembly. Twist counterclockwise to remove. Replacement lamp for the 93-97's is a 1157LL in the rear and a BP194 in the front.

Remove and replace starter

Replacing starter is not a difficult job.The vehicle needs to be lifted up on jack stands. The starter needs to be accessed from under the car. --------- You need to remove the air filter housing and intake, and the battery and tray if you want to make it easy on yourself. Remove those first, then remove the top starter bolt before you go under the car.

Accessing the top starter bolt, sometimes takes time. The top bolt comes from the transmission side on top.

I have a 01 2.5 td. I turn the ignition to start it and it doesnt always activate the starter motor, sometime it can take 5 minutes to get it to kick the starter in and start it. I just sit there turning...

what you need to do ,is when problem is there ,is put a meter on your starter wire ,its small wire going to starter and see are you getting voltage to it when you turn key if you are then you have a problem with your starter .if no voltage maybe a wiring problem or neutral switch somewhere on line or relay

When i try to start my 97 mazda 626 it clicks but won't turn over and other times it starts.. What's the problem?

It sounds like your starter motor is going out. More specifically the solenoid on your starter motor, and since the they are both connected these days unlike the older vehicles you like need to replace the whole starter motor. I hope this helps you out.

How to replace a starter on 97 civic

First you need to disconnect the battery, remove the bottom engine covers, than remove the power leads from the starter to gain access to the nuts or bolts (should be only two of them one on top one bottom). Take it out, put the new one in and reverse the process. Don't mix the wires!

Replacing a starter

I would drive car onto ramps or raise front end on jack stands. 1st take out the two hex head screws that hold on the plastic cover between starter and motor. I had to use a pair of large pliers to pull cover down, you have to pull hard. Then you can see the two bolts that hold starter on. They might be very tight or rusted. I had to use a 1/2 drive breaker bar to break mine loose. The front bolt will be easy but the back bolt is difficult. You will probably need flex-socket. I ended up putting a 1/2 " drive breaker bar onto a 3/8 drive flex-socket with an adapter. This back bolt is about 5" long and difficult to remove even after it is out of the threads. Now take off the two wires that are on the terminals on the back of starter. You will need a 8mm wrench or socket for the small one. You may have to try several ways to remove the starter after it is loose. You then reverse the process This is a fairly difficult job and I do not know if you can do it without a flex-socket for the back bolt..

Where is the selenoid on a 1992 olds 88, and is it difficult to replace

Hi there,

Not difficult at all,

Two bolts for the starter
Two nuts for the starter wires
Two screws for the solenoid

The actual process is a bit more complicated, but only marginally. I was trying to give you the complexity level you requested

Best regards
Mike
