THERE IS A FUSE BOX UNDER HOOD ( NEAR BATTERY) BLACK IN COLOUR 2 SNAPS HOLD DOWN .IF NOT FUSE REMOVE WIRES FROM PLUG NEAR RADITOR -TO FAN AND USING TEST LIGHT FROM BATTERY TO ( )- PLUG ON FAN CABLE IF FAN TURNS ON THEN YOU HAVE A (BAD )SENSOR- OR RELAY. IF NOT REPLACE FAN LOCATED ON INTERNET INCLUDING SHIPPING FROM WEST TO EAST COAST FOR apx. $50.00 alt if fan turns on? Run a wire from battery to plug and put in a toggle switch to avoid expeness OF CHANGING SENSORS (AS LONG AS CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS NOT ON.

1994 pontiac sunbird radiator fan not working

Unplug the coolant fan & put battery voltage, directly to it

If it works, in either direction, then get a wiring diagram
& work on testing the control side of the circuit

You can check all fuses, but replacing a blown fuse,
is not a fix, for anything, that caused it to fail

Check to see if the fans are connected to the wiring harness, if radiator was removed the shroud and fans had to be removed, are fan motors connected to wiring harness, are there any damaged wires at connectors, check the fans fuses at fuse box (Power Distribution Box) in the engine compartment (front right side)(push in on tab in front of box lift up then back to remove cover), Engine Cooling Fan Fuse, Yellow 60 amp, posistion #49, Check the Relays, Engine High Speed Cooling Fan, posistion #R8, Engine Cooling Fan, posistion #R9.

2004 vw jetta is over heating. already checked thermostat and sensors. any suggestions? 2.0 engine

Is the fan kicking on? Radiator fan! When engine gets hot, radiator fan should kick on under the hood.
If it does, then there is a blockage in the radiator preventing it from circulating the coolant to dump the heat. Get a Rad flush.

If the fan does not kick on, then check the fan fuse and relays, usually found in an electrical distribution box under the hood. Consult your owners manual for its location and specific fuses / relays.
Possible bad fan too.. but disconnect the fan at the plug in the wiring, and test supply wire for voltage, when engine is above normal temperture.

You have a relay there are 2 speeds low speed and high speed this is controled by a cooling fan module if you changed fan and it does not work then you will need to check the fan module, first the relay its in the engine fuse junction box High speed is marked on the relay C1056 and low marked C1058, here is what you can do go to the high spped relay open thhe cover and expose the relay with key on collapse the relay does the fan come on? if it doesnt replace the fan module if it does you will still have to replace the fan module here is the location is at the radiator on the front (may be under shroud)

1995 Isuzu Rodeo 4x4 6 cyl - radiator electric fan not kicking on AT ALL - can't figure out where the relay is to check it. Any ideas?

You have 2 fuse panels/boxes under the hood... 1 will have the fuse to your fan. Check them both and it will be a 15 amp to 25 amp fuse. Possibly an 'Inline' fuse, so, look along the wires (2 wires) coming from the fan to the fuse box and Battery/Car Body bolt connector/ground wire. So, 3 places to find Possibly "2" blown fuses. Easy, just don't have anything metallic in your hands while working around the battery or Fuse boxes/panels. Good Luck, I'm sure you'll find/fix it.

Why is my car running hot ? The fan wont kick on and we have replaced the high and low sensor

Assuming ALL fuses and connections are good..... test the "CONSTANT CONTROL RELAY MODULE" should be on the radiator support,a black box with wire to it.....test for voltage at the wires colored: R/LG, V, BK/O. pins-3-8-10-11-13.....when engine gets hot the output voltage to the FAN motor is wire color : R/O, pin- 1 &2.....if no output voltage it may be the CCRM.....the other is the PCM....hope this helps you..GL

2006 nissan maxima radiator fans not kicking on/overheating

CHECK THE FUSE BOX ON THE DRIVER SIDE UNDER THE HOOD. CAN BE EITHER YOUR COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR NOT WORKING TO LET THE FANS KNOW TO TURN ON OR YOUR THERMOSTAT IS STUCK CLOSE OR THE FUSE FOR THE FAN MAY NEED TO BE REPLACED.
