Boy, thats a job. It costs about the same or more to replace the dash. But remove all the screws around the dask and gently but firmly pull on the dash, It justs snaps in. when the trk. went thru assy line they could get to the dash easy and at the vent they have screws to hold the vent and dash in place. That's going to be a ****** bear and I think the dash is in two pieces, upper and lower. Well I know it is but maybe you can get enough loose in the dash to do what you want. If the trk. is very old the dash has dried out abd is brittle and will break all to peaces.

You cut wires and spliced it in to the vehicle wire harness for only a few bucks you could have bought the vehicle harness to plug right in people who do this find there car burning on the side of the road usually disconnect everything put back to normal and find the correct wires

CD Player will not eject the CD magazine

Disconnect Battery
  • As with any tasks on a Mercedes or other vehicle, when you are dealing with disconnecting and connecting electrical systems, you should always disconnect the negative battery terminal. This will ensure your safety and prevent you from getting an electric shock.

Dash Panel
  • Pry the dash panel from the dashboard. There are two levers on the sides of the Mercedes factory-installed CD changer. Pulling down on the levers will release the radio from the bracket in the dash. You will have to remove the wiring and the antenna cable from the back of the system.

Installation
  • You can replace it with a newer version of a CD changer or insert the same one, once it has been repaired. Slide the player into the installation sleeve of the stereo dock. Pay attention to where the wires were removed and connect the unit's wiring to the leads in the wiring harness adapter. Connect the antenna cable lead into the antenna detector. Snap on the dash panel to complete the removal and installation.

How do you remove the cd player from the dash in my 2005 malibu.

You DON'T...besides a built in security system, it most likely controls the function of OTHER things in the car...LIKE THE AIRBAG!
Take it to a car stereo installation shop and ask them to remove and install the radio you bought couldn't be more than $75 and it will save you alot of grief.
Good Luck

Plastic box of wires to big for my new cd player after taking my old cassette player out

You wll need a stereo installation adapter kit. This will change the dash opening to the size you need, oftentimes by replacing an entire dash panel for a factory look.

Here is a link to the dash kit for your car at Best Buy. These will come with detailed instructions. Let me know if this helps :)

Need to replace the radio/cd player in my 2001 elantra

on the hyundai you will usaually see four small holes two either side of the radio unit itself. if you take 4 allen keys/hex keys and insert all at the same time making sure to keep them very straight the stereo unit shuld then be free to pull out. you will then find that it has a universal plug on the back of it and you should be able to plug and play with that. if wrong size/type of plug then buy a convertor from motor discount store.
