It is not the strut that determines the ride height, but rather the spring. The struts are only a dampner.

How do I replace rear strut and spring

Replace it as a unit. Strut, spring, strut mount all in one. It's called a quick strut. Raise car by the body not the wheel. Remove brake line (1 bolt) from strut lower. Remove 2 large bolts holding lower strut end. In the trunk 3 smaller bolts hold the strut mount (upper end) in place. DO NOT remove the single large nut at the top of the strut assembly. Wiggle the strut assembly out. Slide the new strut assembly in bolt it back in. Put wheel back on. Done.

2011 C70 Front Camber is too agressive, is there anyway to prevent excessive tire wear that is due to negative camber being too large?

Have you had any work done to raise or lower the vehicle? What shape are the struts in? What about accidents ? What is the camber set to now? Did you look into aftermarket camber plates?

How do i raise the front of my 1990 honda accord ex? It has been lowered in the front with aftermarket parts

You will need to find a set of Stock Factory Front and Rear Coils to return the car to Factory Stock height. Remove the Aftermarket Coils and replace with the Stock ones. You will need to get the car re-aligned after that.

2005 grand cherokee hood strut won't hold hood up.Brand new . Only has one strut.

Sounds like the new strut is either upside down or defective. When you purchase these make sure you get a hood support not a lift gate. The lift gate ones are for a much lighter rear hatch and will not support a hood.

I need to know how to put rear struts on a 96 olds cutlass supreme, ( instructions)

I just had to do this to my cutlass supreme. It is fairly easy. First, you need to jack the car up in the rear (but dont forget to put wheel chocks in front of the front wheels to prevent any chance of rolling, and break all of the lug nuts loose while the car is still on the ground, and put jack stands under it to keep the car raised safely) and remove the rear wheels. Then look at where the strut mounts to the wheel, there are two bolts holding it on the wheel assembly; remove those (you may need to jack ut the suspension to remove the bolts). Now locate the two smaller bolts to each side of the the strut itself on the strut mount, holding it to the car (this is located at the very top of the wheel well) and remove them. Now u can compress the strut by hand and wiggle it free from the car. Once u have the old strut out, remove the large nut that is securing the strut to the mount. In some cases this is impossible to do due to the rust that has binded them together. If this happens, you will need to purchase a new strut mount for your new strut. AutoZone seems to be the cheepest place for parts. To install the new struts just do everything backwards. When the new struts are installed, the wheels may be slanted down. If this is the case, do not worry, they just need time to "relax" or be broken in. I hope everything goes smoothly and i wish you luck.

2002 ford focus

It is time for a new set of strut cartridges, the rebound is from these worn out cartridges they serve the same function as a shock absorber, use OEM parts if you want a stock ride, aftermarket struts are generally stiffer and give a harsh ride.
