IT could be something simple like a failed sensor.
it sounds like it may be just an O2 sensor, easy fix. it just tells the computer how rich or lean the engine is burning fuel. (Air vs. Fuel mixture, how much gas to add to how much air.) it also could be a faulty Mass Airflow sensor, which monitors how much air is being sucked into the intake, also telling the computer how much gas to add.

the difference between the 2 is that the O2 sensors are located on the exhaust pipe, usually one before and after the catalytic converter and sometimes one is located in or near the exhaust manifold. this may be the problem because they go bad all the time, and are directly related to emissions. the mass airflow sensor can be the problem if   engine is making a slight rev on it's own.
the MAF sensor is located on the throttle port just before the intake plenum or manifold. it should be a small black plastic part with a wire harness leading to it.Also check the   catalytic converter if sensors checked out ok.so the possibilities to be checked are :--  the CC, it can be one of 2 sensors. Either the Mass Airflow Sensor, or the pre-catalyst O2 sensor. You can narrow it down more by scanning the car's computer for codes. There are some places who do it for free
to get car scanned at diagnosis center to get error codes, At diagnosis center you will receive the error code.As per the error code it will detect the exact faulty part in the car due to which the problem is occurring. For more help :--- at www.autozone.com its absolutely free to get car scanned.
Thanks. keep updated for any more query.you can rate this solution and show your appreciation.

Youmost likely have a blockage in the exhaust system. The vehicle goes into limp mode to protect the engine

2007itsubishi spyder eclipse with vibration at idle when stopped at lights accelerate and vibration goes away

Hi Kris, The vibration could be from a number of places, more so as the engine has been replaced. I suggest you check the exhaust mountings, the exhaust covers, and exhaust mounts. Regards John

Check engine light is on, diagnostic code p0140 keeps comming up.

I had this problem with my 05 Trailblazer and it happened around 50k miles. The oxygen sensor needs to be replaced and the part costs about 90 bucks but atleast you will have you're check engine light off.

My Montana sounds light it has an exhaust leak when it first cranks, goes and comes as you drive.Don't want to accelerate at times.

All I can say is it sounds as though your Catalytic Convertor is plugged. With the vehicle running see if you have good air pressure coming out of the exhaust. If it is week, and you can barely hear the vehicles engine running you should probably go the a reputable muffler shop and have them check it.

Truck stalls and check engine light comes on this happens at no certaint time. when the light goes off it starts. sometimes it shuts down while driving and starts back on its own.

is this a diesel or a gas job? has it been tune up lately? if its a diesel I recommend pulling apart the exhaust backpressure sensor on the front of the engine which screws into a tube which goes to your RH exhaust manifold. If its full of carbon and the tube is plugged up, that will cause it to stall erratically and eventually when fully plugged off, it stalls or may not even starts consistently.
