Well first take out th efuel tank, then take the pump out. theres more to it than that , but you get the picture. always replace the filter. Unless you have a lift, I would have a repair shop do it.

you should not have to sypon the fuel just locate the fuse that controls the fuel pump pull it out and start the car when it stops there will be no pressure in any line. you should be able to remove the fuel pump without any trouble then
Your fuel pump is fitted in the fuel tank and its the thing you have to change so you either remove it and replace it with a new one as the pumps in the tanks do give problems so remove and replace OR take to your garage and ask them to do it foe you..
