Question about 2000 Cadillac Catera
I am having the same problem, but the first thing to try is the switch. I cleaned out my whole car and used Armor All on everything including the the light switch and since, the fog lights don't work. I have already bought a new one and will try it myself later on, other than that it can only be fuses or bulbs. Always try switches first! People always thing that their power window motor went out but it is just as simple as a switch!

Fog lamps (factory and after market add-on) are control by a Bosch type relay.
Follow the wiring from one end (from lamps or power switch) you will see the relay.
The relay may be sitting off a socket. Check and clean the socket contacts.
Replace the relay if it's defective.

Is it Oil,or Automatic transmission fluid?
I've changed several Catera Radiator's because the transmission cooler cracked inside of them!!
Better check the transmission fluid for engine coolant too,Coolant in the Automatic Transmission will kill it purdy Quick!
