Sounds like the starting motor is sticking in the engage position after the car has started this is a common fault. The only fix is a replacement of the starting motor.

Renault scenic 05 auto clicking noise from engine when I try to start it is this a stuck starter or something else if so where is it ? Thanks

Sounds like the battery has low charge or is defective. The clicking is the starter solenoid, which commonly happens with low voltage.

My 2003 x5 bmw 4.6is, makes a knocking noise in the Engine upon stating it up, but usually goes away after a few seconds.

Sounds like excess bearing clearance, when the engine sits overnight the oil between the bearings and the crankshaft is able to run back into the oil pan. When you first start it up it takes a few seconds for the oil pump to fill the spaces back up and you get some clatter.

Sounds like something with bad bearings. Check in the area of air conditioner compressor or power steering and yes water pump.even the belt tightener will do that.

Could be a starter sticking but that would cause more of a grinding noise, my best guess is that your flex-plate(flywheel) is broken if the noise is coming from between the engine and transmission. Remove the access cover for the bell housing and take a look at the flex-plate.
