SOURCE: just stopped running

OK, you do have ign. Can you hear the fuel pump come on for a few seconds when you first turn on the key? Most likely if you did, the truck would start and may or may not continue to run, but it sounds like it does not run unless you put fuel in the air intake. Check your fuse for the fuel pump. Most times will not be marked as a fuel pump but as a an ECM or ECU. If your fuse seems good, then you could use the ALDL connector inside the truck to test the fuel pump directly. GM was thoughtful in putting a fuel pump test lead in the connector. Does this truck have a VAT? Also check the pump disable switch. If you have a blown fuse, you better find out why. If you replace the fuse and it runs but blows out when you drive it, you have a wire that is rubbing to ground and needs to be repaired. You can also test the pump directly by tracing the pump wire from the tank, but you must be careful doing this, and it may be beyond your tech ability. Check out for wiring diagrams. If all this proves the pump doesn't work, you will have to drop the tank and replace the pump.

SOURCE: 1996 Chrysler Town & Country won't start

If you have fire, then it's probably a fuel problem. Turn the key to the on position, you should hear a 'whirring' sound from the gas tank, which is the fuel pump. This sound will only last a few seconds , but should indicate that the fuel pump is working. If no sound, check the fuel pump fuse, fuel pump relay, and the fuel pump itself . Good luck.

SOURCE: No spark from coil pack

The most common reasons for them going out are not using dielectric grease properly when installing, and from washing your engine.

I believe this was a huge issue with Volkswagen vehicles

Isuzu 2ltr bakkie nmbr 2 and 3 no spark?

post 3, adds, no spark , 2/3 (and still no year, no country stated)
bad coil pack?
wired wrong, this pack.
no photo of the engine, nor real name of it, Petrol.
btw, we dont have "BAKKIE" here. not a single one.
nor KB trucks, either.
what spark system this car has, im clueless.
4 coils or 1 pack.? if one pack , replace all spark wires
if one pack system , if either 2/3 wire opens, both cylinders go dead. try new spark wires. high voltage,

or you measured spark wrong, on 1 pack car.
it takes 2 spark plugs do do that. 2 good plugs and 2 good wires,
#2 and #3, due to the fact they are wired, in SERIES.
see its called wasted spark system, with 1 coil pack and no distributor..
the testing is unique. on this, setup.
try new spark plugs, gapped correctly
and 4 new HV wires,
I bet its go. if not the coil pack is toasted.

2004 chrysler van 3.8 motor replaced coil pack still doesnt fire number 4 cylinder

If the coil pack has a four wire connector, one wire is primary voltage, the other three wires are ground, one ground for each coil, one coil fires two spark plugs. If problem with coil or ground, you would lose spark for two spark plugs. Did you visually check for spark, everywhere? What about the spark plug wire or the spark plug, itself?

1996 town n country will not start getting gas but no spark replaced coil pack still no spark?

Have you checked your spark plugs and wires? They may need to be replaced or the plugs may need to be cleaned or they may be gapped incorrectly.

My service engine light is flashing.the van is also running rough.1996 town and country van over 200,000 miles but maintained well

On yours, it's a misfire. Plug, wire or coil pack. Have the codes read. this will tell you where to look. 301 is 1 cylinder 303 is # 3. and so on. Pull the wire off the coil, have it close, no spark, replace the coil. Spark, do a tune up. Plugs and wires.

What causes no spark at plugs on 2002 chrysler town and country

it could be a bad crank sensor but it should have set the check engine light, check for codes anyway as there may be a code set. other things are bad ignition wires, coil pack, lose of power to coil pack, no ground for coil system, the PCM controls ground for the coils so it could be bad connection, bad coil drivers or just a PCM problem.

No fire in coil pack.

Was the timing chain damaged ?
Did you have spark from the coil before you replaced the other parts ?
Do you have battery voltage on the positive side of the coil with the key on and in crank mode ?
Is the coil wire not sparking, or are you not getting spark at the plugs ?
Is the distributor rotor turning when you crank the engine ?

Would a 2001 chryler town and country faulty engine module cause number 2 cylinder not to fire

not likely, since the engine module also fire the plug across from the #2 cylinder on the coil pack. check for spark directly at the coil, if none is found ,then most likely a bad coil pack.

My car is turning over but wont start. The engine is getting gas and everything. Their is a weird noise when i press on the accelerator. What could this be?

Hi and welcome to FixYa!

Is there a spark to the plugs? If none, then the problem will surely be on the coil pack. If the coil pack is faulty there will be no current to the plugs and there will be no fuel burn. The coil pack is located at the side of the engine, remove the cap where the plug wires are attached then remove the coil pack. Put the new coil pack and cap then start the car.

You'll be good after the replacement. Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa! Have a good one!
