Question about 1998 Dodge Caravan
The latch may be in need of some lubricant.
If you can hear the latch mechanism 'click' when you try to open it, have someone bounce their hand (with pressure) on the sheet metal near where the latch is located. This will often cause it to release but don't close it again without having smeared some grease or sprayed some oil into the latch.Don't use penetrating lube, they are made to evaporate after having freed some stuck item.
