Question about 2003 Toyota Corolla
Remove the glove box by removing the strut screw, then squeeze sides of glove box together the pull out glove box. look through the hole where the glove box usually sits, towards the top you will see a rectangular panel which can be removed with out tools. behind this panel is the cabin air filter. take note of the orientation of the filter before pulling it out so that you may re-install it the same way. blow out filter with compressed air or replace. You can hear if the fan is operating through the filter opening. If is not then pull the power plug off of the blower; it sits at the bottom of the air box assembly where the filter slides in. Check for power, No power? check fuse. Still no power then replace the blower relay. Yes power then replace the blower motor. if you need to replace the blower motor then remove the small shelf at the bottom of the dash; 3 plastic clips and pull forward- set it aside on the floor. 3 screws hold the blower in place- note location of plug. I would recommend replacing the AC clutch relay at this point because of a high failure rate. There is also the blower motor relay but if this goes out you loose one or more speeds but not all of them. All of these part are available from rockauto.com, very low cost.
