If its an identicle motor then check all the electrical connections, then check your fuel to make sure your getting proper fuel and pressure(the pressure regulator and vacume line to it),then check the spark and timeing.the spark should be of a blue ish color.check all wires and connectors.and egr valve would make it run rough too.

Jumping out of gear after eng gett up to running temp . backfiring & running ruff on low end after eng warms uo

Probably need to change the transmission filter and run some stop slip through it. The rough running and backfiring can be a few different things. It'll help me answer your problem if you'll tell me a little more about the jeep. What year is it? What engine is in it? How long has it been since the last tune up?

My 1997 Jeep grand cherokee is running real rough when I accelerate. Now while driving it it keeps stopping but will start right back up? help???

check the cables of the spark plugs, some times it occurs that the cables get loose from its plastic retainers and touch any metal in the engine, causing missfire of the related spark plug, hence rough running of the engine. Put all cables on the retainers making sure none touches the bare metal of the engine. That should help.

I just bought a 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4.0 with a thrown rod. Will any 4.0's fit or do I need to find a 99 - 00 engine?

if you give a salvage yard a call and ask them what years will be compatible they will answer your question, because you need to make sure you will have all the right amount of and size of sensor holes.remember to use the same flexplate too

Would you recommend adjustable door straps for jeep wrangler?

They work but if you get in a accident they can hold you in a bad place. I recamend going to the junk yard and getting the real doors off of a newer jeep. Some times you can get them on Ebay or other sites. There is more safety and if you get hit from the side you will be thankfull.

Need power seating diagram for Taurus

To do a swap like this, you will need to identify each wire on the seat you want to install...Easiest way is to connedt to a battery and see what each lead does and write it down, then match those functions to the wiring from the Jeep. The larger problem you may run into is that the frame of a passenger car seat is far lower than the one in the Jeep. When installed you may essentially be sitting on the floor!!! Unless you are a very large person, this may be a real problem!!!

Hello blohrd3, I am not sure of the name of part(if honey could be reached by phone I would know). But is right behind your overflow canister on passenger side.Is a black flat rectangler shape box. Is pricey if you get at auto parts store or a Jeep dealership, but go to the junk yard with yours in hand(this takes a few hours to unassemble and reassemble) to make sure that your part number matches the junk yard part. I called Jeep to get my part number and it was entered wrong from manufacture, but junk yard was telling me my number that came with my Jeep and they were right. Jeep dealership was amazed, but they weren't happy because they said noone had this part not even the junk yards. I checked for my self only to be told by a knowledge junk yard employee that the Jeep dealership is giving me wrong part #. So I went to dealership and checked out their info. and it said the part # they were saying it called for, but I was a smart paying customer (regularly with my Jeep) and asked if I could look at the part. Dah, there own mechanic and the day management didn't check to see if the part# on their computer to the part from my Jeep matched. If they would have they would have looked like a brillant crew to me. NOPE, they just wanted me to pay over $600.00 and wait 2 days for the part. So I taught them a thing or two. Also I had them install this part I picked up for $97.00 at junk yard(which they said after I showed them the mess-up they are not liable for any damage this part can do if not the right one.) Well as you might guess after years of going to this dealership and lots of $$$ spent. I have not returned because of the idiot response of installing a much cheaper part and the part numbers matching, they will not be liable for any damage because part number does not match what the manufacturer said is the part #. STUPID, STUPID! So good luck and find a few jeep owners when you are out and about and see who they recommend to take your jeep to. My mechanic is a off the beaten path and he will match anyone in town price to fix my jeep. I have saved over $1500.00 already. And jeep is tight, stiff and runs like a dream. "It's a Jeep thing, you wouldn't understand." I have this saying on my back window below the wiper blade (its path of movement) Need any help or need a Jeep shipped to you? U can find me gnctransport at yah... Best of luck. Christina

Rough idle

Jeep has been having a problem with this. i take it u have a 4.7L or a 3.7L. when the when to fix this problem they should of replaced all the valves (intake and exhaust). theres a tsb on this and the dealer can look it up. even if you paid for the service they will fix it for free cuz it wasn't fixed the first time. take it back to the them and tell the to read the tsb and fix it right.
