There is a plug on the side of the transmission--usually fits a 3/8 or 1/2 inch rachet. Fill with gear oil until oil starts to flow back (if oil comes out the fill port, the level is correct).

I personally run 80-90 gear oil but some manufacturers recommend 30 grade for their boxes ( straight mineral oil) best check it out at a service dealer centre.

Is there a oil cooler on a 1997 ford f150 with a standard transmission. Where is it located?

If it is a standard transmission, It probably doesn't have one. It may have one for the engine oil but most ford F150 pickups only have a cooler for the automatic transmission.

I have a Japanese spec 2006 rav-4 there is no dipstick fot the transmission nor a hole in which to insert transmission fluid. how do i check the fluid level? and how do i insert transmission fluid?

If it is a standard transmission then there is a plug on the side of the transmission that has to be taken out and then you stick your finger straight in, don't bend it and see if you can feel any oil. If not then bend your finger just a little until you feel some oil and then you have to put oil in through the same hole until it starts to leak out and then put the plug back in.

Can i drain the transmission fluid on a 05 suzuki forenza my self?

yes. HOWEVER, whe you refill it. make sure that you put in the correct type of oil. refer to your owner manual prior to putting in any old automatice trranny fluid as some tranny's require a sopecial type of oil, put in the wrong one and you fry your transmission. If its a standard, put in the correct weight of gear oil. Not trying to scare you, but i want to make sure that your REFER TO YOUR OWNERS MANUAL for the correct type of oil to put in after you drain it.

good luck.

How to check the transmission fluid and fill it up if low there is no dip stick for it

If this is an auto tranny the dipstick is located against the firewall just to the passenger side of the auto. If this is a standard transmission it does not have a dispstick but a plug on the side of the transmission. You remove the plug and the gear oil should be level with the hole. If not use a squeeze bottle to put 85w to 90w gear oil into the tranny.

Does a mazda 323f 2001 model need gearbox oil change after some milage or is it a sealed unit?

Automatic and standard transmission needs fluid change every 24 months. On automatic transmissions, the gasket needs to be changed as well as the filter. On standard transmission there is a drain plug that can be loosened up, and refilled through the refill hole. Standard transmission use gear oil, while automatic transmission uses automatic transmission fluid.
