I've changed the the thermastats flushed the radiator and the heat still doesnt work.

Try flushing the heater core. Both hoses should be HOT

It also could be the valve not opening to let the coolant flow through the heater core

Fixed problem HERE........................


We changed thermostat, belts, water pump, hoses... you name it we changed it nothing worked. Just before we ordered a new radiator I took a few pics sent them to my dad and instantly he said to remove the bleeder bolt then fill radiator. That's it guys months of overheating a lot of money and hours of work when in the end it was so simple, cost nothing and took 2 mins.


Turns out most the Nissan motors have a type of bleeder bolt or something (not sure what its called exactly) on top of the motor and that should be removed while filling radiator. step 1 wait till engine is cooled down all the way. step 2 remove radiator cap. step 3 remove the bleeder bolt on top of motor (look around for it. Its just a little old bolt all alone) step 4 slowly fill radiator until coolant/water to come out of the bleeder hole. step 5 put bleeder bolt back in. step 6 put radiator cap back on. That's it. Good luck



if you do not do these steps air get caught in the system and when heated turns to steam. and your radiator cant circulate that steam because the hot air raises. The steam will just sit at the top of the motor and block the coolant/water from circulating through the radiator like it should. Without it passing through the radiator correctly it will not cool. Having a new radiator helps because when they installed it they probably filled it correctly (by removing that bleeder bolt). They knew they could have just filled the old one correctly but there isn't any $$$money$$$ in that for them. trimble7383_0.jpg

You mean the car is running fine but just No Heat?
If so
-Sound like the heater hoses are plug. or the control valve is no function

-Check the heater control valve and flush the heater unit with water of garden hose from both directions.
Q: How do I know that is working or not?
A: Slide the heater control from Hot to cold or cold to hot and check it turn or not. (If not turn at all. The cable is broken or slip off)

I have a 1999 Pontiac Grand Am GT that keeps Overheating. I've changed the Water pump, Radiator, Rehotwired the fans to alway come on right when I start the car and only go off when I kill it. It


With a over heating problem the first place you always check is the thermastat.Thermastats ALWAYS go.
In fact every two years I change the thermastat wether or not it needs it just to be safe than sorry,I live in a snow belt and nothing worst than having no heat in the winter.
Something else you might keep in mind, over heating can do allot of damage most people don't consider, the transmission lines are connected to the radiator which cool the transmission

TRUCK OVER HEATS


Could be a problem with the radiator its self, or you have a blockage in the hose coming from the radiator to the thermastat. You might also check the hose from the radiator to the water pump or the water pump its self.

I have a 2000 chryler concorde with no heat. I changed the thermostat.I 've checked the coolant. The blower is working but only cold air. Any solutions


if you have changed the thermostat. did you bleed air out of system, if air is trapped in system it will not heat right! drain radiator and flush it good, but when refilling turn heater on high heat. then bleed air out when refilling system. most all cars have a bleeder for air. if in doubt, call any auto parts store to find out where yours is. if air is in system you will see bubbles appear from bleeder. also when flushing engine, make sure you start vehicle so it circulates through engine as well as refilling system. if the upper radiator hose gets hot then check for heat from car if it is ok! close bleeder and make sure radiator is full. I think the biggest culprit is air trapped in system. before starting the flush, be sure its not caused by low coolant in radiator. have a good day!!

02PTCRUISER HEATING UP SLOWLY BUT WHEN STOPED HEATS FAST,FANS WORK ,THERMASTAT SEEMS TO WORK WATER TURNS, DOESNT HAVE ANY ANTIFREEZE IS THAT THE PROBLEM?


of course thats the problem. if you had a manual on the pt you will find that this is a pressurized system and just water without antifreeze changes the boiling point. Flush the systen and put the correct amount of antifreeze in, and replace the radiator cap with a 12-18lb cap.

My Jeep overheats while sitting idle. When I drive, the gauge goes down quickly. I have had thermostat and fan changed. I have also had the radiator flushed. What can it be?


we have a 2003 and it did the very same thing . Its called cooling fan relay it costs about 60.00 and is located behind the headlight assembly . not very hard to fix if you know anything about cars .
