Probably the flasher unit but could also be a fuse. Flasher is a little round cylinder under the dashboard--usually aluminum. Sometimes it's in the fusebox, but usually just attached somewhere under the dash on the driver's side. Pull it straight out of the socket and take it to the parts store to replace.

What kind of car? I have a 2005 Chevy malibu that the light quit blinking, in my case it was the connectors in the bulb socket. Somehow when you remove the old bulb it pushes them back so they no longer connect and the blinker stops working. If this is the case you just need to bend them back but be careful not to break or you can by new outlet assembly for $20. Also the blinkers didn't have a fuse just a relay switch if this goes out you would have problem with multiple lights

I have a 2003 chevy malibu. I'm having problems with my blinker lights. They don't always work when I turn them on and at other times they work just fine. What could cause this?

Hello and welcome. this is almost always the hazard switch. inside the hazard switch is the turn and hazard flasher. the next time the turns dont work, try pushing in and out on the hazard switch and see if they come back on.

I have a 2003 Chevy Malibu and when the Hazard lights are engaged they flash erratically. Anyone have an idea?

Problem is probably with the flasher it's self. Does the flasher click even after the turn signals cancel? if so, the hazard switch is the flasher on these cars. Replace the hazard switch

Blinkers

It should either be in your fuse box inside your car but most likely it will be inside the engine compartment in a black box and labeled.

Malibu 2003 LS

you may have an electrical short somewhere.

have a mechanic check under the steering wheel airbag. i've discovered pinched horn wires under there once in a while. if not, follow the horn's wire(s) down the steering column to the horn. remember to solder & insulate your wire repairs well with heat-shrink.

(you may have to remove the horn's fuse or disconnect the horn so you can drive it to the garage!)
