SOURCE: How to replace a front wheel bearing on 1996

The wheel, & brake componets will have to be removed to get to the bearing assembly. Then the center nut and the 4 mounting hub bolts will need to come off. take note of disconnecting the ABS wiring plug to the sensor also

SOURCE: Hi I gonna replace front

You can purchase a repair manual from many auto parts stores such as Autozone or Advance Auto (not sure what you have in your area) or there are on line manuals you can purchase. Haynes makes a decent manual and they usually have plenty of pictures in them which helps if you have never done a repair before.

Need to replace a horn button in steering wheel on a 1992 pathfinder. How does it come apart?

if there are no screws that go in from the back of the wheel, it just pulls off. you may have to pull hard.

1991 Pathfinder rear wheel bearing replacement.

According to my owners manual, you have to remove the entire brake assembly and pull the axle shaft to replace the bearings. The bearings are pressed in and require a special tool to remove them. Not a job I'd take on myself.

How do I get the front brake rotors off a 1999 nissan pathfinder, 2 wheel drive

First block the rear wheels so they won't roll.
2. Jack the front end up and put on jack stands don't trust the jack for long periods of time.
3. Remove front wheels and brake calipers.
4. In the center of the rotor as you look at it is a dust cover remove this
5. There should be a lock cap with a cotter pin thru it, remove the pin and lock cap
6. Remove the nut holding the bearings in place.
7. Remove rotor by pulling toward you, be careful the bearings will come out also, don't let them fall or get dirty.
8. There is a seal in the back of the rotor to give access to inner bearing.
9. Replace seals and repack inner and outer bearings and reverse to install. Being careful not to over tighten the front wheel bearings. If you do they wil sieze up then you have a real mess.

I just tried to replace the front rotors on my 1996 nissian pathfinder, but couldn't figure out how to remove the wheel bearing (or is it the hub?). What do I have to do get the rotor off?

- disconnect ABS sensor and move away to protect from damage
- remove brake caliper assy.
- remove hub cap
- remove snap ring w/tool
- remove lock washer
- remove wheel bearing lock nut (tool J36001)
- pull off wheel hub & wheel bearing (do not drop it!)
- rotor is attached to hub.
