Your oxygen sensors are now reading twice the amount of unburned fuel going through your exhaust system so the computer is probably reading too rich trying to compensate by running leaner. Go back to your dual system.

Where is o2 sensor

You have not identified the vehicle and the locations are vehicle specific.

There is more than one sensor.

Typically on a single exhaust engine there will be one on the exhaust pipe running off the exhaust manifold and a second sensor on the exhaust behind the catalytic converter.

On a V6 or V8 engine with dual exhausts, typically there will be 4 sensors - one on each exhaust pipe leading off each exhaust manifold and one on each exhaust pipe after each of the catalytic converters.

How many oxygen sensors are there on a 1996 ford explorer 8 cyl., 4.0 eng.

The answer depends on the type of exhaust system you have. You will have either 3 or 4 total O2 sensors on your V8. If you have single exhaust with a single catalytic converter then you will have 3 O2 sensors (2 upstream sensors & one downstream sensor - "up or down stream" meaning before of after the catalytic converter). If you have either dual exhaust and/or two catalytic converters then you have 4 O2 sensors (2 upstream & 2 downstream). If you have an MIL light (malfunction indicator light, or "check engine light") the code will indicate "front bank / bank one", which is one of the 2 upstream O2's before the catalytic converter(s), or "rear bank / bank two", which is one of the O2's after the catalytic converter(s).

1993 dodge dakota v8 4x4 runs bad when engine get up to opperating temp.. the truck runs great for about two miles then starts to miss and has nopower. fuel pump went bad I replaced it. the crank sensor...

Sounds very much like catalytic is fouled, blocked.. Works fine when cold, then bogs down and even stalls when heats up. May start and idle but wont go when you press gas.
Did this come on worse over a couple three days? I would get the cat checked for flow.

1991 dakota intermittently stalls or will not start after being run for 30 minutes or more of running.

When it does this you need to check if you have voltage ( spark ) going to the end of the spark plug wire, but it sound to me like your pick up coil is going bad, pick up coil sit under the distributor cap under the distributor rotor same size as distributor assembly ( black ) cheap$$, good luck, hope this was very helpful.

I have a 98 dodge dakota 4x4 3.9L 140xxx with an electrical prob

one thing you mention baffles me. the computer can't reset its self on its own, the codes are there. plug in a code retriever to read codes, a hard fault will keep your light on, intermitten fault will not keep the light on. if you really are loosing codes, i would seriously believe the computer is bad, possibly a internal short which could be causing external shorts-changing fuel mixture-ect. hope i was some help to you.
