Question about 1996 Jeep Cherokee Country
All cars, the first priority of an engine is to reach operating temperature. That is, high idle, low gear, whatever it takes to do it, it does it. Once it reaches temp, it runs fine. I don't know how long it is taking your jeep to get there, But I would check radiator fluids, and other stuff, just to be sure. Hope this helps.
