I have a 2004 Jeep Liberty and had the same problem. And today speed 3 quit. Went to garage and they replaced the blower resistor. Said this was a common problem. Around a $100 total to fix.

Possible that the rheostat or the multiswitch has some contact problems. You must have an access to the switch settings to measure any outward voltage to the fan.If there is no voltage then the switch is defective. If there is contact then the controller is defective and is not reacting to the set point.

I have 2007 Suzuki XL7. I replaced radiator and fan assembly. Fans do not work. Is there a relay? If so, where is it?

Most fan and Ac relays are located in the under hood fuse and relay box. Adequately marked in owners manual or on plastic cover

The fan in my 2001 chevy tahoe doesnt work on 1 or 2 but 3 through 5 are fine

Usually a sign of a faulty blower resistor. The resistor changes the amperage of the circuit to change the blower speed.
You can look the part up online to get a visual.

Fan on c3 will only work on no 4 setting 1 2 3 not working any ideas

these systems use a resistor pack, setting 1 2 3 go through resistors to vary fan speed, 4 is fast speed-- no resistor in circuit. don't know where it is located but usualy in aplace it can get cool air, try follow the wires back from the fan motor to the switch.

If you are having problems with the fan itself, online is a fix where the relay behind the ac-fan control panel needs to be replaced. Do a google search for 200 Malibu Fan control.

Sounds like a bad switch.

Actually the relay is not the problem here. Your blower resistor has gone bad. The resistor reduces the amount of power going to the fan, thus allowing the slower speeds. I don't know the exact location, though it is typically in the blower housing.
