If it is only the red lights, it must be your stop switch.

Changed brake light switch but brake lights remain on in 1998 ford escort

Hi Demetris, I'm glad to help!

Sometimes but not always, the piece on the brake pedal that touches the brake light switch to turn off the light will get bent away from the switch so its not touching it. Check to see if it is touching the switch, pull the pedal toward you and see if the lights go out. If they do go out then 2 things may have happened. (1) The metal bracket is bent and not touching, which you can bend back into place. (2) Some vehicles have what you call a return spring that connects to the dash and runs to the pedal to pull it back toward you to turn off the lights. If you see a spring dangling under the dash, then you'll need to replace that spring. Hope this helps and have an awesome day Demetris.

Removing 380 rear brake light

The Aussie-built Mitsubishi 380 sedan rear light assemblies are removed as follows:

Remove inside boot (trunk) lining behind the light assembly to expose two 10mm nuts with captive washers and (deeper towards the outside of the vehicleA) two plastic lugs.

Unscrew the two 10mm nuts.
Gently prise the light assembly straight back from the rear of the car. This requires some effort. The plastic lugs remain embedded in the sheet metal while notched mating two steel pins remain attached to the light assembly.

The bulb holders are removed by a partial turn anticlockwise (looking at the holder from the top).

See attached image.

Handbreak light on dash board remains on even while driving. Also at present fixing break pads had them bleed. Why is the light for the hand break on. Handbreak working just light remains on while driving

it is either the switch under the handbrake is jammed or the fluid level is low or has air in the system, park the car on a hill both up and down to see if the light goes off. get back to me if you need more info.

When the light switch is shut off , the parking lights stay on. when the battery cable is disconnected, something clicks and they go off. cable hooked back up and they remain off. when they are turned back...

Under he center of the dash is a square black box called the lighting control module. The timer circuit inside it has failed and needs replaced. Easy job try the junk yard if they will sell you one, some will not.

1996 olds achieva check engine light remains on. Already replaced both oxygen censors and catalytic converter but the light remains on. Scan tool was placed on the o2 censors but it show "no activity".

What were the codes???
Try this, turn the ignition key to the on position and pull the ECM fuse out for 10 seconds, then place it back in and start the car.
The car may stall and let it, just restart it the second time and things should be fine. It's just the ECM leaning the Engine and Transmission.
The check engine light should be off and go for a test drive. If there is a problem the check engine light will go back on after you travel over i believe 5 MPH.
Re scan and replace or repair fault in drive train  system.

My radio and shift selector light stays on when I remove the key,

The ignition cylinder has a taper at the back that move the switch in whatever position. The key has to be turned back to off. It happened to me when I pulled the key out it was still half way on but then i just move it back in place. Its a sloppy cylinder from age.
