I have a 2004 nissan maxima that has a water coolant gasket leak. I'm trying to fix it myself but I don't see any threads explaining how.I really need help

Which gasket is it you are talking about ... a cylinder head gasket or a water pump gasket?

A cylinder head gasket replacement isn't straightfoward or cheap to do and requires a lot of technical ability and tools... In the UK a cylinder head gasket replacement would cost about £1000 - probably the same in US dollars

If it is the cylinder head gasket, try a special additive in the coolant system. The images below are generic. You will find similar products in the USA:

For radiator/block sealant have a look for something like:

However, if you're determined to replace a gasket yourself, it's a workshop manual you need.

What is the torque settings for a mitsubishi colt hiline 2.0i cylinder head?

There is no torque value. Commonly, Head bolts are tightened and then removed in sequence as you step threw 3 values: 23/33/45 ft lbs then the final value is achieved by rotating the bolts 90 degrees so the final value is unknown.

You have to get either a hayes manual or follow a procedure online if you are replacing the head gasket. If you are not replacing the gasket do not "re-torque" the head bolts thinking that you can fix a head gasket leak.

Blowed head gasket

Lots of work to replace. Are you sure it's the head gasket? Did you take the coolant resevoir cap off when cold and let car warm up and see if coolant bubbles out? You may have air in the system. there should also be a bleeder valve at the front left side of the intake manifold to bleed the system and get air out of it. Otherwise go to and register with them. They will give you step by step online instructions as how to replace head gasket, and this info is FREE.

Head gasket

These cars do not have head gasket problems you need to remove the sparkplugs to get the coolant out and replace the black upper intake manifold as they will leak coolant into the combustion chamber. Common problem.

Coolant loss seized engine

You have a blown head gasket. The engine will have to be dissembled and the head gaskets replaced. At that time you can find out how much damage was done and what parts need replacing. You may end up needing a complete overhaul. A used engine is an option if you can find a good low mileage one.
