It will be bolted and fairly simple to change. Another set of hands would be good though.

99 Chevy Silverado door pins how to change hinges

If the hinges are bolted they can be released from the bodywork and door by removing the bolts although on many models accessing the bolts can be a very difficult task.

In the case of welded hinges the door must be removed by removing the hinge pins. There is then a lot of careful grinding and cutting to remove the hinge parts from the door and the bodywork and new hinges welded into place.

In the case of a car regularly maintained, including oiling the hinges, removing the hinge pins with a dedicated service tool is relatively easy but can be extremely difficult without the service tool. Cars that have not received a high level of maintenance throughout it's life hinge pins can be extremely difficult to remove needing the application of heat, lots of hammering and repainting afterwards.

The door hinge in my saturn l300 is bent. Now the foor will not open. Should I replace the whole Door? how do I get the hinge off to replace it if it's actually welded on?

it would be unlikely that the hinge is welded on as it is necessary to ne able to adjust the door during vehicle assembly
the procedure is to open the door and with the help of friends holding the door undo the bolts holding the door onto the frame or pillar
remove the hinge then from the door
check that the metal where the hinge is bolted to is not bent/deformed as that normally bends before the stronger hinge metal does

I have recently fitted a new bonnet on my mark 7 transit but is out of alignment can any help on how to adjust it thanks Becca

The bolts that attach the bonnet to the hinges are also for adjusting the bonnet alignment. Slightly loosen the bolts that they still manage to hold the bonnet and check the alignment, pulling it to whichever side needs adjustment. Once you are satisfied, tighten the bolts finally.

Weird buzzing sound coming from radio area on my

most likely coming from alternator , some times hard to track down. I cured mine by connecting a earth strap from the bonnet hinge bolt on the bonnet to the bonnet hinge bolt on the body.

I need to replace the front wing on my Kia carens, is it bolted on or welded

Look for a series of bolts at the top of the mudguard just under where the bonnet closes. If you have them it will be a bolt on --if not it will be welded

How do I replace the driver side hood hinge? 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee

The hinges are held together with two top, and two bottom, 10 millimeter bolts. (At the pivot point) However, one half of the hinge is welded to the pillar, the other half to the door. That being said...The bolts can be removed to take the door off. BUT, in order to go any further: the hinges will have to be cut and welded. So I guess the answer your looking for is. Take the door off, unplug the wires, cut and weld the half necessary to repair the deficiency

I need to replace the exhaust manifold on my 2001 Accent 1.6L. I have the part, but need a manual or directions. The original manifold is cracked badly (more like split); it was repaired temporarily with...

Most any auto parts store will have a repair manual that will lead you step by step through the process. However, if you have any mechanical knowledge, and own a set of wrenches and sockets, you can perform this job rather easily and in a few hours. Step one: use a penetrating oil (I recommend PB Blaster but WD-40 will suffice) on the nuts/studs that connect the manifold to the exhaust pipe, allow time for it to do it's magic, then remove said nuts/bolts, making sure not to lose/damage the gasket (if equipped). Step two: disconnect the O2 sensor (if equipped/mounted to manifold) and any EGR pipes that may be attached to it. Step three: remove the mounting bolts, lift out the old manifold. Step four: clean the area where the manifold bolts to the head, install a new gasket, and reverse the process. I hope this has helped, and good luck.

2002 honda odyssey power sliding door roller replacement. Is this a hard job to do?

Not very difficult if like my '99. Be sure to purchase the correct hinge for "power" door. Here are the steps:
  • Remove rear tail light (2 screws and pull from socket)
  • Remove two screws from rear of hinge cover panel
  • Remove bolt from front of hinge cover panel
  • Open door around one foot and rest the back end on something about the same height
  • Remove the three bolts from the hinge connecting it to the door
  • Loosen slack on cable by unbolting pulley under inside rear panel (tire tool storage on driver side)
  • Slide broken hinge out back of rail
  • Replace new hinge and put all back together
I don't know if there is a simpler way to loosen the slack on the cable, but this is how I did mine.
Hope this helps.

I had an accident need a new bonnet my husband wants to try and fix it we need instruction and what tools do we need

If you have the replacement bonnet, & a regular socket set, it's a simple job of un-plugging the wash wipe tubes, and then undoing the hinges.
It's easier to use a small ratchet, to undo the bolts. Three or four each side, I forget. With more than likely, a 10mm socket.
Then it'll just come off in yer hand.
Then it's just the small issue of making sure the hinges aren't too badly mis-aligned, and 'marry up' with the bonnet fixing holes.
Then you need to close the bonnet to make sure it lines up with the rest of the car.
If it doesn't, then you need to bend the hinges, gently and slowly, with a big heavy bar, prefferably. But don't get too excited.
Then it's just a matter of repeating that, until it sits right.
Good luck with that.

Driver door on '86 Porche 944 will not close properly

If it's bolted on, check the top hinge bolt for being loose. there is an adjustment slot the bolt can slide in. It's a easy fix. If it's welded on check the top hinge weld behind the fender. Mine came apart at that spot (previos owner rewelded prior to my ownership). You will need to remove the fender to get in there to weld. The hinge is thicker than the sheet metal it's attached to.
