Cant find the low pressure service port for my A/C unit to recharge it can you tell me & is there a diagram for it i have a 1999 ford f-150 5.4engine 4X4 setside lareit

It is Item #5 in diagram below...A/C charge valve port (low side)...located on the passenger side fire wall, it is the smaller of the two black caps....saailer

Without A/C system theory & some training,
I would say no. Leave it to a mechanic with
the correct equipment

You can not just add very well with those wal mart
a/c kits

You have no way of knowing how much to add, without
a manifold gauge set attached to vehicle

If you need to add, you have a leak that needs to be
repaired & your poluting the atmosphere until the repair
is completed

The caps are generally different sizes, the recharge hose from the can, will only snap on to the correct one.

Your A/C system will have two service ports, there isn't any "recharge" ports. You add refrigerant to the LOW side only. Prior to adding any refrigerant, you need to check the system pressures with a manifold gauge set. If the system has enough charge and there is another issue, adding refrigerant can make for worse problems. Automotive A/C is best left to the right person with the proper equipment to service them. If you follow the lines from the compressor, the LOW side will be the smaller diameter of the two service ports.

Did you look on the compressor for the low side port??

U SHOULD NEVER HAVE TO RECHARGE, IF YOU DO U HAVE A LEAK AND THAT NEEDS TO BE REPAIRED 1ST BEFORE A RECHARGE, THE SERVICE RECHARGE PORT IS ON THE INSIDE OF THE OF THE PASSENGER FRONT FENDER, U MUST GET AT IT FROM UNDER THE CAR, IT IS ON THE ACCUMULATOR AND NOT VISIABLE, U MUST FELL IT, VERY HARD TO GET AT, GO TO LINK BELOW FOR PICTURE

The can will only connect to the low pressure side. Could be a bad drier. If the lines were unhooked for more than 30 minutes when changing the compressor, the drier is probably filled with moisture.

Your low side should have a "blue cap" on it. If it does not, it is located on the passenger side of the vehicle near the firewall.

The AC charge port is the on low pressure AC line (large line from compressor) near the firewall. Take care not to overcharge, there are other causes of no cooling like a stuck AC compressor cycling switch or a air temp control blend door motor malfunction, what is the issue u have? does the AC compressor run?

I just got done recharging my a/c in my 1995 ford windstar and it was the low pressure port it is the smaller port for the recharge kit to fit on.
