Silverado horn

Unplug the horn

If the fuses do not blow & you have
battery voltage at the wire connector
you took off, when pushing the horn
pad, then replace the horn

If the fuse blows with the horn out of the circuit,
then you got to do some testing for a short in the
wiring or horn button area.

Personally I would start by looking at a wiring diagram,
so I wasn't guessing at where I'm about to do my testing.

Reversed the boost

you (at the least ) blew 1 or many fuses,
you do that and risk blowing up a fortune on electronics.
its not 60 Chev, that is so forgiving...

fuses: (ijm at alldata.com looking)
fuse 19, 80amps engine bay fuse box. bam?
are the head lights dead, they work all the time, even keys in pockets.
are they part of nothing.
then... that means... fuse 19 is bad.
open the fuse box in the engine bay see those.
they will all be dead, and 19 toast.
i just use a voltemeter to find which are blown.
starting there, then working to the cab box.
12v good
0v bad, key on

My 99 chev silverado has visor lights, and my lights went out and at the same time the horn went out. is there a fuse for this or is the wiring got a short in it?

sounds like a fuse.most do several jobs.find the fuse and replace using same amperage. if it blows again have wiring checked

Horn dont blow fuse ok relay ok. i installed a new fuse and a new relay, but it still does'nt work.

It sounds like you most likely have a bad Horn. This can happen from time to time, especially if you over use your horn.... But that's not saying you have ;)

You can check your horn by removing the wiring harness connected to it and placing a test light in each socket. Have a friend press the horn inside the car on the steering wheel while you test the harness and look for both positive lights when the horn is pressed and ground lights when it is not pressed.

If you don't know how to do this, or you don't have the tools, taking your car to your nearest auto parts store and ask them to give you a hand if they will.

Otherwise it's time to replace the horn. :)

I lost my head lights, dome light, horn door

sounds like you have a bad ground somewhere. Check every ground strap that you can find, make sure it's tight, and not corroded, etc. Sounds like the accessories are trying to find a ground, and going through the brake light to do so, thus burning out from too much current.

Horn that doesn't blow every time

you are either getting water in your horn, common for trucks, or it could be a bad ground.
have you ever blown the fuse for the horn?
