If it has the 2.5l v6 then your distributor is possibly bad [all 95s came from the factory with defective solder joints in the dist.] or your egr valve is stuck open or leaking. to check for that start engine when cold open hood and locate egr valve rear center of intake it has a round top with a vac hose on it. there is a steel tube that connects to it that goes to the exaust.sprincal a few drops of water on the pipe. if it sizzles then the valve is bad.

The P1399 random misfire along with one or more of these codes: P0301, P0302, P0303, P0304 -- indicates a problem with the valves. The B20 engines in the 1997-2001 CR-Vs are known to have problems with valves tightening and then 'burning'.
So the first question is when was the last time you adjusted the valves? If you don't know or never have, then have them adjusted. Soon...
